2000 – video object
A monitor sits inside a white wooden box which is the size of a washing machine and has a porthole like a washing machine. Through the round window, the viewer can see a woman's head turning around in front of a spinning load of laundry. The actress's hair becomes increasingly wet, pieces of laundry fly around her, and water sprays against the glass - this is all accompanied by the never-ending sound of the rotating washer. A brain washing during the main cycle.
The video piece "Hauptwäsche" (Main Cycle) was first on view during the solo exhibition "life size" in the gallery Gabriele Rivet in Cologne from May 5- June 10, 2000.
