Venetian blind and her
The video "Jalousie und sie" is the counterpart to "Jalousie und er" and was alternately shown with "Jalousie und er" during the "Face to Face" exhibition at Galerie Gabriele Rivet Köln (Cologne) from October 30 - December 21, 2002. It is also possible to show both videos simultaneously, either in two windows or across from each other in a room. The projection can be viewed on both sides of the white plastic blind, and depending on how the sluts are adjusted, the projection is also cast on the walls or objects. The sounds of the moving blinds are intensified when both projections are shown at the same time. The man's gaze from behind one blind could be resting on the woman across from him and not only on the viewer.
Each video lasts about 12 minutes and offers a general picture of one evening in the lives of both performers. They come home, change their clothes, talk on the phone, look through the blinds, and then leave home, apparently to go meet someone. As with "Jalousie und er", this version was also filmed through the slats of a black venetian blind. The video has very little sound; only when the woman touches the blind does one hear it rattle or squeak.
