Photo Shooting
A group of four elderly people (at the age of 67 to 84) appear and pose like models. They stand face to face to the viewer in live size. From the back of the camera the instructions of a photographer and the clicking of his camera can be heard. Photoflashes lighten the video image but also the real space. The position of the video camera seems to be identical with the photo camera. The photographer egg his models with set phrases as „That’s beautiful!“, „Great!“, „Wow!“, „Change position!“, „Look into the camera“ what makes the atmosphere rather displeasing and cliff-hanging.
This work is a reference to Michelangelo Antonioni’s movie „Blow Up“. Here it’s not a young slim mannequin the photographer is cheering on, but models somewhat aged.
